BASIC INFORMATION

ECR Group of Institutions offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) program, which is designed to prepare students for a rewarding career in the field of healthcare. The B.Sc. Nursing program combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills to develop competent and compassionate nursing professionals. Practical training plays a vital role in the B.Sc. Nursing program. Students receive hands-on training in nursing skills and techniques, such as administering medications, wound care, vital signs monitoring, intravenous therapy, patient assessment, and basic life support.They develop skills in effective communication, teamwork, leadership, and critical thinking, which are essential for providing safe and quality patient care.

Course Description

Throughout the B.Sc. Nursing program, students participate in clinical rotations, where they work under the supervision of experienced nursing professionals. These clinical experiences provide opportunities to apply theoretical knowledge, develop clinical skills, and gain practical exposure to various patient populations and healthcare settings.
Upon completion of the B.Sc. Nursing program, graduates are eligible to apply for licensure as registered nurses (RNs). They can pursue a range of career opportunities in hospitals, clinics, community health centers, nursing homes, and other healthcare settings. Graduates may work in areas such as medical-surgical nursing, pediatrics, maternity care, psychiatric nursing, critical care, public health, research, or nursing education.

Eligibility

  • Passed the two year Pre-University examination or equivalent as recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, with science subjects, Viz, Physics, Chemistry and Biology and English
  • Obtained at least forty-five percent of the total marks in science subjects and English of the qualifying examination. If belonging to a scheduled or a scheduled tribe, should have obtained not less than forty percent of the total marks in science subjects and English of the qualifying examination
  • The candidate should have completed 17 years of age as on 31of December
  • Students of Vocational Courses: 10+2 vocational course of State Government of Kerala with 5 subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English in addition to vocational subjects conducted is considered equivalent to +2 Examination/Karnataka Pre-University courses.
